About Stephanie Phillipps

My name is Stephanie Phillipps and I am a UKCP registered psychoanalytic psychotherapist. Stephanie Phillipps


The focus of my approach is in building a trusting relationship with my client, so that we can work through difficulties and emotional distress together.

I have a number of years experience of working within NHS mental health settings and with a diverse range of people from all walks of life, each bringing their own individual struggles, including:

  • Self-esteem issues
  • Childhood trauma, abuse and neglect
  • Substance misuse
  • Psychosis
  • Depression
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Self harm
  • Identity issues
  • Anxiety
  • Relationship problems


As a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, I am a registered member of the UKCP.

I abide by their code of ethics and conduct and I am committed to professional development and ongoing supervision. I have full professional indemnity insurance. As part of my training at the University of Kent, I have undergone many years of personal psychotherapy, which helps me to support my own clients.

  • Postgraduate Diploma - Psychotherapy Studies
  • Bachelors of Science - Psychology with Social Sciences
